Crawford's Angel was established to build a grassroots platform promoting a community-based, comradely approach to support leading humanitarian agencies such as Susan G. Komen and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in combating cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.

We are often reminded how life does not always go as we plan. Leonard and Valencia Crawford, the founding partners of Crawford's Angel, were confronted with a life-threatening obstacle 6 months into their marriage. Through the grace of God, they overcame cancer together. After going through such a life alternating situation, they decided to focus their attention away from the negativity associated with having a critical illness to more positive aspects of life.

They asked themselves, "What type of support could we possibly offer to help others?" It didn't take long for them to realize that they could combine their deep love of hosting and entertaining friends with their desire to raise funds in support of cancer prevention, treatment, and research. So that's exactly what they did. Now, they entertain with a purpose, sharing their warm and loving hearts with friends while working toward a significant purpose. The best part is that 100 percent of all donations are given to humanitarian agencies such as those mentioned above to help fight cancer.

As of November 19, 2010, Crawford's Angel hosted its first fundraising event in support of Susan G. Komen, Passionately Pink for the Cure©.  After successfully meeting their team fundraising goal, Leonard and Valencia decided that this was just the beginning of their efforts to continuously "Blessing Families One Event at a Time."
